With more than one trillion single-use plastic bags being used worldwide, each year, it is clear that something has to change. But, how many people really understand the problem?

 

CEP will produce a documentary that follows the life cycle, and environmental effects, of single-use plastic bags from the manufacturer to their final resting place: a landfill, a recycling center or -as is often the case- loose in nature. Because in order for people to really care about the big picture, they must be educated about the real impact behind the decisions they make as they shop.

 

Our goal is to create a deeper level of understanding in consumers about how the everyday choices they make have a true effect on the environment and why it is important to shop with a conscience. Increasing public knowledge of the problem will empower shoppers to make a big impact through small, simple changes in their habits.
